Prambanan Temple : Legend Story In JAVA

Prambanan temple is one of the famous temple complex in Indonesia and designated by UNESCO as a world heritage site in 1991 in addition to Borobudur. Not the same as Borobudur Temple, a Buddhist temple, Prambanan is a Hindu temple complex.

Prambanan is the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia and even in Southeast Asia. This temple is also known as Roro Jongrang temple was founded around 850 AD by the Sanjaya dynasty

Reliefs carved on the walls tell the story of Ramayana Prambanan temple. There is also a relief of Kalpataru tree, which Hindus consider the tree symbolizes the preservation of life and harmony.
